unreliaverb

unreliaverb is, just like the name suggests, a reverb device that is not exactly reliable. Its key characteristic is instability: the sporadic introduction of randomized reverb into whatever sound you choose to process.

CONTROLS

  • Starting from the top left, you’ll find Size, which controls the reflection size of the reverb. Adjusting this slider changes the overall character and timbre of the final sound;
  • On the top right, there is the Color knob, a large control that introduces a combination of filtering and saturation to the output, further shaping the tonal color of the processed signal;
  • Then we move to the real core of the plugin: Probability. This parameter controls how likely the reverb is to come in. Higher values result in faster and more frequent changes, with more immediate alternation between dry and wet states. Lower values create slower, rarer transitions, where the presence of the reverb feels more sparse and gradual;
  • At the bottom, the large horizontal slider called Quantity controls the overall dry/wet amount;
  • Finally, I also added a Mono Maker switch. Sometimes it can be interesting to create more mono centered spaces, so this switch lets you quickly toggle between a stereo and a mono version of the effect.
