scrubbert

scrubbert is an FL Studio Patcher device inspired by a specific technique showcased by producer Trash Sound Design in one of the Members Only videos hosted on our page (curated entirely by him). Scrubbert packages that workflow into a smooth, simple signal path—built for turning any input into new, recordable sound design material.

The two main modules

1) scrub

The scrub section is designed to scrub, mangle, and destroy incoming audio to generate artifacts, textures, and unpredictable details you can record and resample.

It features three main sliders that control:

  • Time manipulation
  • Grain processing (granular-style treatment)
  • Delay (applied to the processed signal)
  • Alongside them, you’ll find a filter that can be used as low-pass or high-pass (at the user’s discretion), allowing you to quickly reshape the tone and focus the output.

2) low-ender

The low-ender module is built to take what you created in Scrub and extract / generate low-frequency content from it—making it easy to sculpt controlled, characterful sub and low-end material.

Main controls include:

  • Crossover: sets the cutoff frequency that defines the working range for the module.
  • Shifter: a frequency shifter to move and transform the low content.
  • Feedback: tied to the shifter, for longer tails and more synthetic or resonant results depending on the amount.
  • Shape: a transient shaper paired with a subtle but solid saturation.

Additionally, the module includes a knob that blends outward compression and low-end excitement to further emphasize and enhance the low-frequency output.

What it’s for

Scrubbert is meant to be fed with any audio source. It applies an intentionally extreme process—focused on transient extraction and manipulation—to deliver output that feels completely different from what you put in. The idea is simple: generate interesting material, then record it and resample it inside your projects.
